The grading system in Cumberland County Schools is intended to give periodic evaluations of each students progress from Kindergarten through senior high school.
In Kindergarten, grades in all subjects shall be expressed as:

In grades 1-12, grades in all academic areas (language arts, mathematics, sciences, social sciences, health)
may be expressed by:
(A) A numerical system which uses student's actual average and in which any grade below 69.5 shall be a failing grade or
(B) A letter system using "A" ,"B","C","D" and "F" in which each letter represents the following numerical range.
