Our program for four year olds encompasses a wide variety of planned activities centered around the developmental goals of the program. These educational activities offer your child experiences in language, math, science, music, and art. Our program focuses on the established developmental level of the children as individuals and is designed to meet each one where they are and lead them forward. Just like you as parents, we want the very best education for our children. We recognize that you need a program that will provide the same kind of caring, nurturing, and attention that you give to your child. The Cumberland County PreK We offer learning programs for young children, ages 4-5 years old. *Your child must be four years of age by September 30th of the current school year in order to qualify for admission. Our program and classroom environment is research-based and designed specifically with your child in mind. Our highly qualified teachers offer guidance in a setting that fosters emotional growth while providing the most well-rounded educational experience appropriate for children, meeting the Preschool State Curriculum Standards. At The Cumberland County PreK, children will encounter a balance of activities designed to help them achieve high goals for social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and creative development. Using the Creative Curriculum®, our programs are carefully planned, continuously evaluated and updated, and enriched with the latest resources in early childhood education. The preschool program begins each day at approximately 7:30 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. *Check with your zoned school for your child’s preschool schedule. Preschool operates on the same public school schedule unless otherwise specified. Parents provide transportation to and from the preschool.
